For Ages 16+

In this hands-on, in-person workshop, attendees will design and piece a 30” x 30” quilt top, learning different techniques to piece curves and concentric circles. During the class we will explore different compositions, color combinations and shapes. Quilt National ‘23 Artist Carolina Oneto, visiting from Brazil, will show you all her tricks to create these captivating designs. Attendees will learn how to cut fabrics with complex shapes and successfully sew these curved shapes by machine. Suitable for new and experienced quilters alike, comfort with basic sewing machine operaration is recommended.

Beautiful Stones workshop will take place at The Dairy Barn Arts Center in Athens, Ohio and includes admission to Quilt National ‘23 The Best in Contemporary Quilts. The exhibition features the art quilt titled 3, by the teaching artist, Carolina Oneto.
