Athens County is a place brimming with rich traditions, diverse flavors, and creative energy—and we want to showcase it all! We invite artists to submit their work for a special gallery exhibition titled Taste of Athens… Ohio!, celebrating the vibrant spirit of Athens through visual art.

Exhibition Theme:

This exhibition will explore the unique intersection of Athens’ culture and natural beauty. Artists are encouraged to create works that represent the essence of the area, whether through depictions of local landscapes, community traditions, or any other element that captures the heart of Athens—both literally and metaphorically.

Eligibility:

This exhibition is open to artists of all levels, from emerging to established, working in any visual art medium. Accepted mediums include, but are not limited to:

Painting
Drawing
Photography
Mixed Media
Printmaking
Sculpture
Textile Art

There is no fee to apply.
Once you complete the registration, you will be directed to a page for Artist Information and Submissions.

Selection Process:

A panel of jurors will review all submissions based on creativity, originality, and relevance to the exhibition’s theme. Artists will be notified of acceptance by Friday, April 18th, 2025.

Opening Reception: Friday, May 9th, 2025 from 5:30 PM to 7:30 PM
