Michael E. Mann, Distinguished Professor of Atmospheric Science at Penn State University, will speak at Ohio University’s Memorial Auditorium on March 28.  Dr. Mann was lead author of the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change and with his co-authors received the 2007 Nobel Peace Prize.  Using humor and satire, Dr. Mann will recount efforts to confuse the public and explain why he is cautiously optimistic that the global community will prevail in the battle to avert the impacts of climate change.  The title of his talk is “A Return to the Madhouse: Climate Change Denial in the Age of Trump.”
