Join the Southeast Ohio History Center and Ohio artist Kim Chapman on July 7th for the opening of Eighty-Six Reasons. There will be a gallery talk at 4:30 and a reception to follow.

Artist Kimberly Chapman’s Eighty-Six Reasons is an exploration of the way early asylums treated women. In addition to Chapman’s work, the History Center will be showcasing selections from Elise Mitchell Sanford’s photographic essay, In These Spaces, and artifacts from the Athens Asylum that make up part of the History Center’s collections. This collaborative exhibit between Chapman and the History Center will be on display July 8th through September 17th.
