MIG and TIG Welding I

This class will cover metal-working safety, the theory behind welding, and what the different types of welding are. Participants will learn how to operate a MIG welder and a TIG welder and will know what the differences are. Upon completion of the class, students should expect to be able to set up a welder and make simple welds. They should also have a better understanding of the different welding processes and which one would best serve their needs/interests if they wish to continue welding practice.
Participants should wear close-toed shoes, denim pants, and long sleeves. Hair should be pulled back. All safety equipment will be provided.
