Multicultural Genealogical Center Presents the new movie: Our Town Morgan county

April 6 @ 1:00 pm - 3:30 pm

APRIL 6,  1 PM  We will have the great honor and pleasure of seeing the new documentary “Our Town: Morgan County” that was released just this past weekend in McConnelsville and on WOUB TV. This is the first episode that covers an entire County (previous ones highlighted towns such as Pomeroy, Nelsonville, Jackson and Athens.)  Evan Shaw, a 12 time Emmy award winning filmmaker and Southeast Ohio Native, has worked on collecting stories of Morgan County for a year and has interviewed historians and residents, that include Ada Woodson Adams and Tony Mayle talking of tri-racial families and the underground railroad.  MGC and Chesterhill are part of the narrative. It highlights the history, unique contributions made by the region, and explores the present and future of Morgan County.  Please join us!

As always, the event is free (Donations are welcome) and open to the public.  Please help spread the word to your friends and acquaintances.  There will be a social hour to follow and it will be held at our building which is in Chesterhill at the intersection of State Route 377 East and State Route 555 South.
