The Multicultural Genealogical Center welcomes Nelson Myers who will speak on his family history, share interesting stories of his boyhood days, his life experiences and some history of Chesterhill. He looks forward to the question and answer portion of his presentation.
Nelson grew up and spent the first 21 years of his life in Zanesville, Ohio. He has relatives that lived in the Cutler, Ohio area and spent time visiting them especially in the summer months. His father’s family was from the Zanesville area and his mother’s family moved to Ohio from West Virginia. He has roots as a descendant of not only the Myers, but has Mayle, Newman, Dalton and Rush in his blood line. Nelson moved to the Chesterhill area in the early 1970’s and took a job with the DuPont Company in Washington, West Virginia where he worked for 37 years, retiring in 2005. He and his wife Gloria raised their family in Chesterhill.
