The Multicultural Genealogical Center will welcome Cheryl Kirkbride and Tara Sidwell who will share with us “The Kate Love Simpson Library:  Past and Present”.  They will talk about the library system as a whole and then show us pictures of the Chesterhill library before, during and after the most recent renovations.

Tara Sidwell has assisted with youth programming, implemented adult programming and reference services, and currently serves as Director of the Kate Love Simpson Library since 2013.  She has a Bachelor’s degree from Ohio University and a Master of Library and Information Science from Kent State University.  

Cheryl Kirkbride is the Chesterhill Library Branch Manager.  She is a graduate of Morgan High School and holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Agriculture from The Ohio State University. While traveling around the country with her husband’s job she worked at multiple bookstores before returning to Morgan County and becoming a member of The Kate Love Simpson Library team in 2003. She started as a circulation clerk before moving to children’s programming, the bookmobile and currently the manager of the Chesterhill Branch Library in 2020.
