Multicultural Genealogical Center speaker and light lunch with Dr. Amelia Adams

Dr. Amelia Adams will explore the vision and themes of Dr Martin Luther King Jr’s iconic “I Have a Dream” speech. It will consider where we were in 1964 versus where we are today; and then provide three practical actions you can take in order to create a society that continues to move towards Dr King’s imagined vision. Dr. Adams, daughter of Ada & Alvin Adams, has presented on a variety of topics pertaining to Leadership, Genealogy, and Anthropology; and is currently working to curate her family’s extensive genea
logical and historical collections pertaining to the history and settlement of Black and Native Americans in southeastern Ohio.
This will take place on Feb. 4 from 1:00-3:00.
