Want to get your brain and body moving and meet new friends? Scottish Country Dance is a social dance form a bit like contra, but with more footwork. The name of the game is fun!

This four-week class meets every Sunday from 2 to 3 pm at the Athens Community Center between June 6 and 29. Each week we’ll be building on the previous week’s session, so drop-ins aren’t possible. (However, if you need to miss a single class, you’ll be fine.)

Start at the very beginning, with no partner or experience necessary. If you can walk briskly, you can dance!

We teach gender neutrally and are very welcoming to folks who haven’t danced before. Smiles and snacks included!

Attire: Clothes you can move in! Sneakers or ghillies are great on your feet. Dresses, kilts, shorts, or yoga pants are all perfect.
