Statehood Day Open House

Join us on March 2 from 12-4 for our annual Statehood Day celebration! We’re part of a large number of events taking place around Chillicothe in honor of the day Ohio became a state.
The Ross County Historical Society at 45 W. 5th Street will have a special exhibit of original Ohio statehood documents including Thomas Worthington’s personal draft of the 1802 Ohio Enabling Act. There are new exhibitions to see in the McKell Library and the McClintick House Museum. All other museum exhibits will also be open.
Last but not least, you can see a special living history presentation by Joseph Ogel’s Company, Ohio County Virginia Militia at the
Knoles Log House.
