The General accompanied by Dennis James

April 13, 2022 @ 7:30 pm - 9:30 pm

$15 – $25

Join the Southeast Ohio History Center on Wednesday, April 13th at 8:00 PM for a showing of The General, accompanied by Dennis James on the organ!

Famed actor, Buster Keaton, produced and starred in this 1927 silent film. The General combines fact and fiction – events straight from history and an inventive storyline full of heroism and impressive stunt work. It was inspired by the true story of the Andrews Raid, in which Union soldiers and civilians stole a Confederate train in Marietta, Georgia with the intent of burning all of the railroad bridges between there and Chattanooga to cut the supply lines to the Southern Army. Some of the soldiers were from and are buried in Southeast Ohio!

Doors will open at 7:30pm to allow time to get snacks and your seats. The movie will begin at 8pm. Masks are strongly encouraged but not required.
