The Gallia County Health District invites families to its annual Back-to-School Healthy Kick Start, a community event designed to help students prepare for the upcoming school year. Parents are reminded that most childhood immunizations are required by age two, with additional vaccinations necessary for entrance into kindergarten, 7th grade, and 12th grade.

Immunizations will be available at no cost to children who qualify for the Vaccines for Children (VFC) program through age 18. Medicaid and private insurance are also accepted.

This event is open to the public and provides a convenient opportunity for families in the Gallipolis City School District and Gallia County Local Schools to catch up on vaccines or check off items on their school supply lists.

In addition to health services, a variety of local agencies will be on-site offering resources and activities—including the WOUB Learning Lab and other community partners.

Please note: Parking will be accessible via Merrill Evans Way (next to the Shake Shoppe). Guests should park in the designated field on the right. Local scout volunteers and members of the Gallia County Sheriff’s Office will be on-site to assist with parking and ensure a smooth arrival.
