Woman Killed, Two Injured In Pike County Crash

A 44-year-old woman is dead and two others are hopitalized after a two vehicle crash in Pike County on Thursday. 

The Chillicothe Post of the Ohio State Highway Patrol said the crash occurred at 3:24 p.m. on State Route 124.

A spokesperson for the patrol said Miriah Daniel, 18, of Peebles traveled left of center as she was driving westbound on the road and struck the vehicle of Abigail Horner, 22, of Waverly, traveling eastbound. 

Amy Baker, 44, of Piketon was a passenger in Horner's vehicle, and was pronounced dead at the scene.

Horner was transported to Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center by air evac and Daniel was transported by air evac to Cabell Huntington Hospital in West Virginia.

The patrol closed State Route 124 for approximately four hours following the crash, which is still under investigation.
