The Athens County Commissioners are set to discuss what to do with the vacant 911 director position at their meeting tomorrow.

Commissioner Larry Payne says commissioners have some decisions to make about the position.

Former Director Doug Bentley resigned last week, just after the Athens County Firefighters Association put out a news release that was critical of 911 Center operations.

Payne says commissioners have a couple of options on how to move forward.

He says they must decide if they want to keep 911 under the same supervisory structure or if they want to put 911 under the control of the sheriff's department.

The meeting is set for 9:30 tomorrow morning.
