OU to Host Mary Chapin Carpenter in October< < Back to
Ohio University’s Performing Arts Series has announced some new events for this fall.
Grammy award-winner Mary Chapin Carpenter will appear at Memorial Auditorium in concert on Sunday, October 16 at 7:30 p.m. Carpenter’s 12th studio album, The Age of Miracles, was released in 2010.
Two days later, Memorial Auditorium will play host to a different musical artist in a different setting. The Campus Consciousness Tour — half music, half environmental campaign — will feature Janelle Monáe, who’s making a name for herself in the music world with recent collaborations with Katy Perry and Bruno Mars. That event takes place on Tuesday, October 18 at 7:30 p.m.
Tickets for Mary Chapin Carpenter are $40, $25 and $20 and go on sale at noon on September 2. The Campus Consciousness Tour tickets are $35 and $20 and go on sale to the public also at noon on September 2.
