Bob Edwards Autobiography Available for Free

Bob Edwards is offering up his autobiography for free as an e-book.  in his memoir, "A Voice in the Box: My Life in Radio," the Louisville native and longtime public radio host describes his road to success, from knocking on station doors during college and working for the American Forces Korea Network to his work at NPR and induction into the National Radio Hall of Fame in 2004.

Before moving to satellite radio, Edwards had a long career at National Public Radio, co-hosting "All Things Considered" before moving on to host "Morning Edition," a job he had for more than 24 years  He left NPR in 2004 after the network announced it was planning to replace him.

"A Voice in the Box: My Life in Radio" is published by University Press of Kentucky and will be available for free download until Friday, September 9.

Bob Edwards Weekend airs Saturday afternoons on WOUB Public Media's FM network.
