Ohio University football team’s win last weekend over Gardner-Webb puts head coach Frank Solich at an important milestone in his coaching career.

As the game clock ran out, Solich won his 100th game as a head coach, which marks his 42nd win with the OU Bobcats.

After the game ended, the players rewarded their coach with the game-winning ball in honor of his accomplishment.

A humble Solich continues to focus on what really matters to him—the football program’s future.

“I’d like to get 101. Then just go from there. I’m not a guy who looks too far down the road,” he said.

Solcih’s players appreciate his dedication to Ohio football’s future, and also their own careers.

“It’s good to play under Coach Solich. He’s put lots of players in the NFL,” said Senior wide receiver, Lavon Brazil.

Solich believes creating a reputation of success for the OU football program is more important than any number of wins on his resume.

At 2-0, OU prepares for a home game this weekend against Marshall.
