Tree Kills Workers In Licking County

A 12-foot section of a tree trunk being removed from a right-of-way fell and crushed an Ohio road crew worker to death.
The accident Thursday happened while Troy Murphy, 45, a Licking County employee, was working with other crew members to bring the tree down.
Firefighter Brandon Reece of the Granville Township Fire Department says the accident happened about 2:15 p.m.
Township Fire Chief Jeff Hussey said co-workers used heavy equipment to remove the tree and performed CPR.
