Services Streamlined In Aging And Disability Resource Network
< < Back to services-streamlined-aging-and-disability-resource-networkHere in Southeast Ohio there are several organizations serving the elderly. Several others serve people with disabilities. All these provider groups recently came together to form a cooperative.
Rick Hindman is director of the Area Agency on Aging 8 in Marietta and he helped start the cooperative, which is called the Southeast Ohio Aging & Disability Resource Network.
"The goal of the SE Ohio ADRN is to streamline services and supports for older adults, people with disabilities, family members and caregivers," says Rick Hindman.
And Hindman says the Aging and Disability Resource Network has launched a website to make it easier for people to get information about the network and services.
Hindman says the website "brings together nearly one thousand local services, programs and supports available in its eight-county service area.
"It's a great resource," he says, "for folks to find information and even confidentially manage their personal medical information on the free personal health record."
