Damage Reported Around Region Following Friday’s Storm
< < Back toSome residents around southeast Ohio are still cleaning up from a major string of storms that hit the area Friday.
While no injuries were reported in Athens, Pike, and Scioto counties, some trees and power lines remain down.
In Pike County, Emergency Management Agency officials say two homes were destroyed.
Scioto County EMA Director Kim Carver says an F-0 tornado was confirmed in Otway village. According to the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Association, a tornado with an F-0 rating would register winds between 40 and 72 miles per hour and cause light damage.
The winds caused damage to the Otway Village fire department.
In Athens County, EMA responders say flash flooding caused the most problems during Friday's storm.
