< < Back to ohio-gas-prices-continue-downward-trendAverage gasoline prices in Ohio have dipped by 6 cents per gallon over the past week following an 8-cent dip a week earlier.
The rate in Monday's survey from auto club AAA, the Oil Price Information Service and Wright Express is about $3.77 per gallon. Last Monday's average was $3.83.
Ohio drivers were paying about $3.79 this time last year.
The drop comes as the price of crude oil has fallen since last month amid signs of weak consumer demand in the U.S. Crude inventories have jumped more than expected the last two weeks, and the U.S. government said Friday that the economy added 120,000 jobs in March, fewer than analysts expected.
Average nationwide gasoline prices have remained steady over the past week at $3.93 per gallon.
