Four From Chillicothe Accused Of Human Trafficking
< < Back toA newly formed task force to combat human trafficking in Ohio says an investigation has yielded its first four indictments.
The indictments out of Franklin County Thursday accuse four people from Chillicothe with bringing a woman to Columbus under false pretenses and forcing her to have sex with more than a dozen men in motels over several days.
Two people were charged with trafficking in persons, rape, kidnapping and promoting prostitution.
Two other suspects face similar charges but haven't been arrested yet.
The Central Ohio Human Trafficking Task Force was formed in September.
Ohio Attorney General Mike DeWine said state law required its work remain confidential until the suspects were indicted.
DeWine said there could be more victims. The investigation is continuing.
