Not too many places would consider six and seven win seasons with a playoff appearance as unacceptable. However, in Parkersburg, the last two seasons for the Big Reds have been viewed as a disappointment after early exits in the playoffs in both 2010 and 2011. In his third season as head coach of the Big Reds, Don Reeves knows that it's time for a return to the winning ways of the program's storied history.

It won't be an easy task, however, as Reeves acknowledges that the team is still undersized on defense. To make up for this, the team hit the weights hard in the off-season, as many players came to the nearly 120 workouts throughout the spring and summer to get ready for 2012.

Gridiron Glory caught up with coach Reeves during two-a-days where he spoke about the direction that the football program is heading and who he expects to step up this fall.

You can catch Gridiron Glory Friday nights on WOUB at 11:30 p.m. To stay connected with the show throughout the week, follow Gridiron Glory on Facebook and Twitter
