Commissioner Sullivan Cleared Of Drug Accusation
< < Back to commissioner-sullivan-cleared-drug-accusationAthens County Commissioner Mark Sullivan will not face drug charges.
A spokesman for the Ohio Attorney General's Office says a grand jury today determined charges are not warranted.
"After an exhaustive investigation involving possible narcotics violations, the Ohio Attorney General's Office presented information to a grand jury regarding Mr. Sullivan and the grand jury did not return an indictment."
Spokesman Dan Tierney says this closes the investigation against Sullivan, who had been accused by his former wife of possessing marijuana.
The case was handled by a special prosecutor from the Attorney General's Office.
