OU $100 M Investment To Bolster Academic Programs

Ohio University is setting out to spend $100 million over the next seven years on a wide array of projects that include new academic programs and endowed professorships.
 
The school says $25 million will go toward student scholarships and another $25 million will be used recruit endowed professorships.
 
Other areas targeted include new academic programs and student programs and services.
 
School officials say that they also want to invest in the community to help recruit and retain both faculty and students by creating a vibrant community.
 
Ohio University's president says the plan will help the school remain an economic engine in southeast Ohio.
