The Connie Stevens Memorial Equipment Fund has been established in memory of former WOUB staff member, Constance Gay Miller Halbe Stevens, who passed away on September 13. Connie was an alumna of Ohio University, with a degree in graphic art. She spent more than 20 years behind the microphone in WOUB's studios as a radio personality, journalist, instructor and student mentor.

A visual artist and writer, Connie retired from WOUB and moved to New Mexico in 2002. Upon her passing, Connie's family asked that in lieu of flowers, gifts be directed to WOUB in her memory.

The Connie Stevens Memorial Equipment Support Fund has been established to meet the continuing need to replace and repair equipment necessary to the work of the staff and students at WOUB.

Those wishing to make gifts directly to the fund should go to http://www.ohio.edu/advancement/gift.cfm, where they can make one-time or recurring gifts by designating the gift to Scripps College of Communication, and typing "Connie Stevens Memorial Equipment Fund" into the "Other" box below the designation.

A memorial for Stevens is scheduled on Saturday, November 3 from 2 – 5 p.m. at the Dairy Barn Cultural Arts Center in Athens.
