Despite not seeing the field for most of 2012 due to injury, senior defensive lineman Tremayne Scott was an integral part of Ohio football's 45-14 bowl victory over Louisiana-Monroe. His strong performance included five tackles, two sacks and his first career interception, earning him a spot on the 2012-13 All-Bowl Team.

Scott had not made an appearance for the 'Cats since late September, but was a key part of the defensive unit that held the Warhawks for only 95 yards during the Advocare V100 Independence Bowl.

The Ocala, Fla native was the only player from the Mid-American conference named to the team. He joins fellow defenisve lineman Alex Okafor from Texas, Margus Hunt from SMU, and Jadeveon Clowney of South Carolina.
