Woman Rescued From Well

Firefighters had to pull a woman up from a well after she tried to rescue her dog in an area off old Route 33 in Athens County.
The Richland area fire department received the call just after 11:30 yesterday morning.
According to dispatchers the woman was lowered into the well with a rope around her waist in an attempt to rescue the dog and wasn't able to be pulled back out.
The well is an an area near the Last Chance Corral near Shade.
No word if the dog was also pulled from the well.
