Troopers are searching for a man who allegedly robbed a Dollar General Store in Cabell County Monday night.

West Virginia State Police troopers said the man got away with a bag of money and Jolly Ranchers around 8:30 pm.

The man apologized to the clerk after showing his gun and asking for cash.

Troopers said he ran from the store, and police K-9 units tracked his trail toward the West Pea Ridge area.

The suspect is described as a man in his 30s and about six-feet-tall.

He was wearing dark clothing and a hoodie.

Anyone with information is asked to call the West Virginia State Police.
