Zanesville Man Sentenced For Vehicular Homicide

According to police, Joshua Sheets, 19, struck and killed John Briggs, 53, of Zanesville on April 13.
Briggs was riding a motorcycle near the intersection of State Route 60 and State Route 555 when he was struck.
Sheets entered a no contest plea to vehicular homicide, vehicular manslaughter and failure to yield the right of way.
In addition to jail time, Sheets has been fined $1,100 and was issued a three-year license suspension.
He has also been ordered into counseling and will be on probation for one year.
