After leading 6-2 to start the game, Eastern went on a 20-0 run before a three by Fed Hock’s Whitney Gillian made it 26-5 at the end of the first quarter.
By halftime, Eastern opened the lead up to 53-10 off impeccable ball movement. Eastern finished the game with 19 assists while only committing only six turnovers, including only two in the first half. Eastern also shot 58 percent from the field.
Meanwhile Fed Hock committed 18 first half turnovers, 26 total and only had three team assists while shooting only 18 percent from the field.
Leading the way for Eastern was Jordan Parker with 19 points and three steals, but she had help from Erin Swatzel with 16 points and Katie Keller who had 10 points and six rebounds.
The leading scorers for Federal Hocking were Whitney Gillian with six points and five rebounds and Megan Thompson had five points with five blocks.
This was nothing new based on the teams matchups in the regular season. In the previous matchups, Eastern beat Fed Hock 62-16 and 64-15.
Federal Hocking only has one graduating senior and returns all its key players heading into next season.
“This group grew together and that’s the main thing,” Federal Hocking head coach Jeff McKibben said. “As far as wins and losses, these kids are learning a little bit about life as we go on.”
The Lady Lancers have won a playoff game in two straight years after not winning a game in 2010-2011.
