Accurso, Thompson Set MAC Championship Records On Indoor Track

Juli Accurso and Melissa Thompson set new MAC Championship records as Ohio wrapped up competition at the MAC Indoor Championships Saturday.
Thompson won the one-mile run with a personal-best time of 4:48.22. Her time also broke a school record previously set by Accurso in the 2012 MAC Indoor Championships. Accurso finished fourth in the same event Saturday.
Accurso's time in the 3,000m run with a time of 9:36.43. The junior finished with 17.5 points to place sixth among individual competitors.
Thompson finished the tournament in 13th, out of 132 competitiors, with 12.5 points.
The Bobcats finished in seventh place as a team with 38 points.
Ohio's next scheduled event is the Notre Dame Alex Wilson Invitational on March 1-2.
