Tractor Theft Leads To Fugitive Arrest

Wood County deputies responded to a tractor stuck in a ditch, and say they stopped a theft in progress.
Deputies found Jamie Ray Thompson, 32, of Mineral Wells standing by the tractor.
Deputies soon found that the tractor had been stolen and that Thompson was in possession of oxycodone, which had also been stolen.
In running a background check, it was discovered that Thompson is a fugitive from Washington County.
Thompson is now being held at the Wood County Holding Center on several charges, including grand larceny and possession of a controlled substance with the intent to deliver.
He will face extradition proceedings on the fugitive charge.
