UPDATE 9:15 a.m.  Authorities say two teenage brothers reported missing in an Amber Alert have been found dead after a third teen pointed investigators to the bodies before being taken into custody.

The Putnam County Sheriff's Office in northwest Ohio says an alert for Blaine Romes, 14, Blake Romes, 17, and Michael Fay, 17, was issued yesterday morning after a relative of one returned to her Ottawa trailer home and found a crime scene.

Fay was taken into custody yesterday afternoon when he returned to a car parked in a gas station parking lot in Columbus in central Ohio, about 115 miles away. The car had been reported missing from the trailer park.

According to the sheriff's office, Fay told officers that the Romes brothers were dead and gave the location of the bodies.

Autopsies are planned. There is no word on any possible charges against Fay.

Classmates and friends mourned the brothers as news of their death spread through the village south of Toledo.

Authorities in northwest Ohio say one of three teenage boys named in an Amber Alert has been located several counties away and has pointed them to the bodies of the other two.

Ottawa police say the Thursday morning alert about two missing 17-year-olds and a missing 14-year-old was issued after a mother returned to a Putnam County trailer home and found a crime scene. Police and the sheriff have released no details about that scene, the bodies or where they were found. Autopsies are planned.

Investigators say one of the 17-year-olds and a missing car were found in Columbus, about 90 miles southeast of Ottawa. Authorities say the teen was detained and told them where the bodies were.

There has been no word on any possible charges.
