New Restrictions At Wayne Forest
< < Back toThe Wayne National Forest is putting new restrictions on activities that include camping, hunting and boating to protect the forest's natural resources.
A spokesperson says an order signed April 30 is intended to protect both the park's natural resources and visitors.
The prohibitions affect campfires, off-highway vehicle operation, camping, hunting, boating and other activities.
Rules limit campers to staying 14 days within any 30-day period and prohibit mass camping involving more than eight people and three camping units at a site. New restrictions also apply to alcohol, drugs, public nudity and fireworks.
Violators could face heavy fines.
