Portion Of Interstate Closed After ODOT Truck and Semi-Truck Accident

UPDATE 5:03 p.m. A spokewoman for the Ohio Department of Transportation says both westbound lanes of Interstate 70 should be back open by 5:30 p.m.

According to ODOT a semi-truck collided with a lighted message board being towed by an ODOT vehicle.  The vehicle and sign were part of a crew working to cleaning up the State Street overpass bridge in Zaneville.

The driver of the semi-truck suffered a broken arm and lacerations, according to the ODOT spokeswoman.

Drivers were being diverted from I-70 at exit 153 and then back onto the interstate.


An interstate highway is closed following an accident involving an Ohio Department of Transportation truck and a semi-truck.

Authorities say Interstate 70 westbound will be closed until further notice.

According to the Ohio State Highway Patrol, there is no word on the conditions of the drivers, or if anyone was injured in the accident.

Troopers are on the scene.
