Man Found Guilty In Murder Of Canton Woman
< < Back to man-found-guilty-murder-canton-womanJurors in Zanesville have reached a guilty verdict in the trial of a Canton man for his role in the murder of a woman found burned and beaten in the middle of a road.
The Zanesville Times Recorder reports LaFonse Dixon now faces the possibility of the death penalty after jurors found him guilty of kidnapping, murder and arson Thursday morning.
The sentencing phase of Dixon’s trial is scheduled to start Tuesday.
Two women also charged pleaded guilty and testified against Dixon. They said the trio took 29-year-old Celeste Fronsman to rural Muskingum County, where she was set on fire and abandoned in August 2012. A driver found the Canton woman, and she died two days later
