Trimble Girls Week In Review: Dec. 15-22

Morgan ended the first quarter with a 22-10 lead. The Lady Raiders then allowed only 20 points over the course of the rest of the game. Morgan was lead by Vada Clemons, who had 12 points and fellow teammate Alayna Locke scored 10.
On Dec. 2, Trimble played host to Belpre. The Golden Eagles handed Trimble their second consecutive loss by a count of 53-38.
Trimble took their talents to Eastern to battle the Eastern Eagles on Dec. 5. This was easily a game to forget. The Lady Tomcats put up a season low seven points. Eastern cruised to an 82-point victory winning 89-7.
Trimble continued their losing streak after coming back to Glouster and taking on the Southern Tornadoes on Dec. 9. The Tomcats just could not stop the Tornado offense as they lost 66-49.
Coach Richard’s squad went on to lose their next two games against Nelsonville-York and Fed Hock by a combined score of 99-57.
N-Y came into the game with a 5-0 record. The Lady Buckeyes jumped out of the gates quickly with a 16-0 run to start the game. They went into the locker room with a 25-4 lead at half. With the first bucket of the second half, Trimble’s gain of a little momentum was quickly stolen. NY then only allowed one basket the rest of the quarter and a total of eight more points the rest of the game.
On Dec. 21, the Lady Tomcats got their first win of the season as they defeated the Wahama Lady White Falcons 42-13.
Trimble is off until Dec. 30, when they will travel to Vinton County.
