Nelsonville-York Week In Review: Dec. 30-Jan. 4
< < Back toBOYS
After splitting their games the week before, the Nelsonville-York boys entered the week at fourth place in the TVC-Ohio and hungry for a win at Athens.
The orange and white looked to improve their record, but were shutdown after a 64-36 defeat. Even with a loss at Athens, the Buckeyes managed to keep their position at fourth in the TVC-Ohio with a record of 1-2.
N-Y will continue league play on Friday, Dec. 10, against Meigs and then travel to Trimble the following day for another game. A win and loss against Meigs last year proves for a competitive matchup this season, whereas the Buckeyes were able to defeat the Tomcats twice last year, by almost 20 points each competition.
GIRLS
The Nelsonville-York Lady Buckeyes are starting off the new year at third place in the TVC-Ohio with a 2-2 record, and 8-3 overall.
The orange and brown haven’t hit the court again since coming back early from winter break for a dominating win against Southern on Dec. 28th.
The Lady Bucks will be back in action on Tuesday, Jan. 7, against the Mid-State League’s Amanda-Clearcreek Aces.
