Rio Grande forward Josh Reagan was named the Mid-South Conference Player of the Week on Monday, following a 46-point performance against Bluefield College on Saturday. The scoring outburst most points by a Mid-South player this season.

Against Pikeville earlier in the week, Reagan fouled out after playing only 22 minutes but bounced back in a big against Bluefield on Saturday. Reagan scored a season high 46 points in a close 88-85 win on the road.

The junior scored his points on 17 of 19 shooting from the field and added 11 points from the free throw line.  Scoring wasn’t the only way Reagan hurt the Rams, as he also contributed 11 rebounds to his stat line.

This is the second time Reagan has won the award this year, and three of the past four winners of the weekly award have been RedStorm players.

All of these individual accolades have translated to team success, as the team was ranked 20 in the NAIA Division 1 Coaches Poll this week and are 14-6 on the season. Following a two game road trip, the team returns home for their next game to take on No. 11 Georgetown on Thursday.
