Dorsey, Dalton Sweep MAC East Weekly Honors

The Ohio softball team brought the broom out Monday when it took home both Mid-American Conferece Player of the Week awards for the East Division. Sophomore pitcher Savannah Jo Dorsey, and sophomore infielder Amanda Dalton were crowned MAC East Pitcher of the Week and MAC East Player of the Week, respectively.
Dorsey is coming off a superb outing where she tossed a no-hitter against North Florida in the Osprey Invitational. Dorsey struck out the last batter swinging to complete the memorable performance.
Dalton had two hits against North Florida in four plate appearances. In the Bobcats’ matchup with Southern Illinois she had a hit, a walk, and managed to score twice.
Ohio returns to the field Friday at 11 a.m. against Austin Peay in Chattanooga, Tenn.
