Athens resident Jeffrey S. Turner, 45, changed his pleas to guilty on multiple drug charges and is heading to prison for three years.

Turner pleaded guilty Monday to one count of illegal manufacture of drugs and one count of illegal assembly or possession of chemical for the manufacture of drugs.

He was sentenced to a mandatory three years in prison and a two year driver’s license suspension.

This past November, Turner manufactured and produced methamphetamine in Athens County. He also had in his possession more chemicals to produce more methamphetamine, according to Athens County Prosecutor Keller Blackburn.
