Former Ohio running back Beau Blankenship performed well at the University of Oklahoma Pro Day on Wednesday. The Norman, Okla., native was among the 23 prospects to work out in front of NFL scouts.

Blankenship ran a 4.47 40-yard dash, while having a 37-inch vertical jump and 27 reps on the bench press, according to Nate Feken of KFOR in Oklahoma City.

The top running back on the bench press at the NFL Combine was Jerick McKinnon with 32 reps. Blankenship's performance would have put him as the second-best running back in the bench press, with one rep in front of Washington's Bishop Sankey.

In the NFL Combine's 40-yard dash, Notre Dame running back George Atkinson was sixth with a 4.48 time, and USC's Silas Redd ranked ninth among running backs in the Combine with a vertical jump of 37 inches.

Blankenship had 910 yards on 204 rushing attempts his senior season. The 5-foot-9 running back broke Ohio's single season rushing record with 1,604 yards his junior season.

Blankenship will work out again Thursday in the Ohio Pro Day.
