Ohio Dive Team Opens Zone Competition
< < Back to ohio-dive-team-opens-zone-competitionThe Ohio University diving team kicked off competition in the NCAA Zone Championships Thursday, March 13 in Columbus, beginning with the one-meter dive.
Kristin Capcik led the Green and White squad by reaching the finals in the event. She posted a score of 265.65 in the preliminary round, qualifying her for finals. Her second round and event finals earned her 18th place in the Zone, with a score of 503.65.
Teammates Morgan Srail and MaryRose Hillstrom were unable to make it to the event finals after placing 29th and 38th, respectively.
Srail came away from the preliminaries with a 237.05, followed Hillstrom at 233.40.
The Bobcats will return to the boards on March 14 to compete in hopes of earning a top spot in the three-meter dive.
