Accurso Named MAC Scholar Athlete Of The Week
< < Back toOhio University track and field athlete Juli Accurso has been named Mid-American Conference Scholar Athlete of the Week, the league announced Wednesday. She received the award twice during the 2013 cross-country season.
Accurso competed in the 10,000m race for the first time this outdoor track season on Friday at the Hillsdale College Gina Relays. Her time of 34:18.12 was good enough for first place, and it stands as the fastest 10,000m time in the MAC this season by more than 30 seconds.
Accurso, a senior majoring in French and linguistics, is a four-time All-American and former Academic All-American selection.
