Explosions Reported Near Plant In Putnam County

Putnam County Sheriff Steve DeWeese told WSAZ.com there have been two explosions reported at the John Amos Plant in Winfield.
WSAZ reports the explosions were reported about 12:30 p.m. at one of the plant's large transformers.
The explosions did cause a fire that firefighters are still working to put out. It also caused a large boom in the area.
Television crews at the scene said a lot of smoke is still pouring from the transformer that caught fire.
Sheriff Deweese said there have been no reports of injuries at this time, but emergency crews are still on the scene.
