Former President Bill Clinton To Speak At Columbus Fundraiser
< < Back to former-president-bill-clinton-speak-columbus-fundraiserFormer President Bill Clinton is headlining an Ohio Democratic Party event to help raise money in one of the nation's top presidential battleground states.
He's scheduled to speak Friday night at the party's annual state dinner in Columbus.
Ohio Democratic Party Chairman Chris Redfern says about 2,350 people plan to attend the dinner, the political organization's largest fundraising event.
Clinton's visit comes as his wife, Hillary Rodham Clinton, weighs a second bid for the White House. The former secretary of state has been on a book tour this week that has attracted intense media attention and resembled the frenetic pace of a campaign kickoff.
Bill Clinton carried Ohio in both of his presidential elections. Hillary Clinton won the state's Democratic primary in 2008 over eventual nominee, President Barack Obama.
