Jackie Wolf welcomes guest Michele Biddlestone, Lactation Consultant at O'Bleness Memorial Hospital, to talk about World Breastfeeding Week. Taking place every year during the first week of August, this years theme is "Breastfeeding: A Winning Goal for Life", a division of the United Nation's "Millenium Development" goals to fight poverty and their effort to create sustainable development. The two discuss long and short term benefits for maternal health, and the social stigma surrounding breastfeeding in US culture.
