Senior defender Gabby Hausfeld and sophomore forward Alexis Milesky of the Ohio soccer team were named to the 2014 College Sports Madness Mid-American Conference Preseason All-League Teams.

Hausfeld was named to the first team, while Milesky was selected for second team honors.

Hausfield played in all 20 games for the Bobcats last season. The senior has seen her leadership roles expand after being named team captain for the upcoming season.

Milesky was a standout performer for Ohio in her rookie season, starting in all of the Bobcat’s matches and tying for the team lead in both points (11) and goals (four). She also tallied three assists, and her 32 shots were good for second on the team with 13 of them being on target. She was selected to the MAC All-Freshman Team.

The 2013 season was one of solid achievement for the Bobcats as they posted five road wins—the most wins they have had away from Chessa Field since 2004— and recorded a 7-7-5 record, their first non-losing record in four years. Ohio also scored 26 goals last season, the most the team has scored in a decade.

Ohio kick off the season with a home exhibition match against UNC Greensboro on Aug. 14 at noon.
